Chicken alla Ballkanon


This was the first time I cooked this meal. It is a very simple and old-fashioned "sunday" dish. I wanted to spice it up a bit so I fried a couple of onions, added 2 tsp of golden syrup, rosemary, salt & pepper and approximately 2 glasses of red wine. The chicken was baked in the oven with some rosemary and salt. I made potato pureé with plenty of garlic :) I served it to our visitors who came to spend a weekend in Dublin. The name is very original, I tried to say something in swedish and that's what came out of my mouth, ballkanon. I find it funny to call this meal so.
