Oh Oslo I love you so much! We arrived in Oslo on a Friday night and immediately felt the excitement. Not only we felt the temperature difference but it was really lovely to be in such a nice city. It was quite sad to say goodbye to the family but that’s always the way…that's the price we have to pay for living abroad. Our dear friend Linnéa picked us up at the station and we walked through the busy streets of the Norwegian capital to her and her boyfriend’s cute apartment. In the morning we ate amazing breakfast and then Linnéa, Stefan and I walked in the city for a few hours.
Our amazing breakfast, what a smoothie!
I couldn’t get enough of the super sweet wooden houses and their gorgeous gardens! We went to a famous sculpture park (Vigelandsparken) which was actually super cool, you can check some info here and if you ever go to Oslo, visit this park.
Some of the cute houses!
Later on we ate a light lunch in one central restaurant, the food was just fabulous and so was the restaurant. We ordered Focaccia with mushrooms (they were absolutely amazing as they fried them with a drop of Truffle oil, oh dear it was good), lettuce, cheese and a nice dressing.

And then we made some amazing food. Linnéa and Johan bought tons of juicy prawns, baked some bread and made lovely coctails. We all chipped in while making dinner, it was great fun. We drank and danced and had loads of fun.

We went to a local pub to dance and have more fun later in the night. When we entered the pub I felt like I had already been there so I just asked Stefan and then we realised that we had been there a couple of years ago...what a coinsidence! It didn’t take more than 5 minutes and we bumped into a friend of ours who had just moved to Oslo from Sweden. Seriously, the world is so small! We had a brilliant night out, the waking up after 3 hours sleep wasn’t the best but totally worth it. Thank you Linnéa and Johan, it was a special weekend. Can’t wait to see you both in Dublin soon!
